Spring Into These Waters In Spring
Well hello spring! It’s nice to see you again. We can’t wait to shed our layers of clothing and embrace the first rays of sunshine. To get into the spring mood and dare I say it, dip our toes into the chilly spring waters, here are 5 must visit beaches to visit this spring! Some are more known than others, some require some travel but definitely bucket list worthy!
Ned’s beach - Lord Howe Island
Ok, this will require some travel but hey a beach that shares your name, it needs to be on this list. Ned’s beach is located on Lord Howe Island, a 2hr flight from Sydney, and it’s worth every minute! The beauty of this island is that it only allows 400 visitors at any time, bicycles are the mode of transport and kilometers of pristine beaches teeming with fish, beautiful coral and diversity of its bird life. If you’re looking for a slow paced, family friendly beach getaway, look no further.
Tallebudgera Creek - QLD
This sparkling creek lies between Burleigh Heads National Park and Palm Beach. It’s famous for its calm waters, perfect for the kids, paddle-boarding and simply relaxing on a hot day. Make sure to get here early as parking is limited!
Sorrento Victoria - VIC
Sorrento is a coastal town on the Mornington Peninsula about 2 hours from Melbourne. There is a front beach, which is calmer, more relaxed and right next to the town. However, if you are up for some adventure make the drive to the back beach where you will be rewarded with the largest rock pools during low tide.
Hyams Beach - NSW
This beach is one of our personal favourites! Every time we travel down the coast we make sure to make a stop here and wriggle our toes in the almost blinding white sand. Don’t just stop at Hyams Beach - there are so many beautiful beaches around Jervis Bay it's worth spending a weekend (or more) there.
Twilight Beach - WA
Only a few minutes away from Esperance, this turquoise little paradise is great for families. Safe swimming conditions and if you like to cast a line, fishing is must do activity in Twilight Bay.
Embrace all the sun glory (obviously safely) that spring brings and make sure to bring your swimmers! Also check out our blog on hassle free beach days on what to pack to make your day about less stress, more fun!
